The Consortium of NLUs released the CLAT UG 5th Allotment List 2026 at 09:57 AM on May 20, 2026 , covering B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) admissions across 25 NLUs . This is the final centralized allotment run; no 6th list will be issued centrally.

What the CLAT UG 5th Allotment List 2026 means for you

If you have been allotted a seat you must choose the Freeze option to confirm it — the Float option is discontinued after Round 5. The non-refundable seat confirmation fee of Rs 20,000 must be paid on the consortium portal between May 20 (10:00 AM) and May 25, 2026 (2:00 PM) . Failure to freeze and pay within this window will lead to forfeiture of the provisional seat.

Document uploads required include Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, the CLAT 2026 admit card , and category/domicile certificates where applicable. Universities will carry out strict physical or online verification; missing or mismatched documents can lead to cancellation.

Deadlines after CLAT UG 5th Allotment List 2026

Pay the balance university tuition fees directly to your allotted NLU by May 30, 2026 before 5:00 PM . The consortium confirms you cannot bypass the portal by paying an NLU before completing the freeze and payment flow.

If you were upgraded after Round 4, note that the consortium processed 280 fresh seat allotments in Round 4 . Estimated institutional vacancy for upcoming spot rounds is 5% to 8% ; individual NLUs will start independent spot admissions in early June 2026 .

Key cutoff markers and tie-break rules

Final general closing ranks in the 5th list include: NLSIU Bengaluru 120 , NALSAR Hyderabad 168 , WBNUJS Kolkata 343 , NLIU Bhopal 455 , NLU Odisha 848 , RPNLUP Prayagraj 2268 , and NLUT Agartala 2410 .

If two candidates have identical merit, the tie-breaker is: higher legal aptitude score, then the older candidate, and then a draw of lots.

    Refunds, exits and redressal

Initial counselling registration fee rules: Rs 30,000 for General candidates and Rs 20,000 for SC/ST. A full refund is provided if you remain unallotted. If you freeze and later withdraw, processing deductions (including a possible Rs 5,000 deduction) may apply; check university refund timelines with the allotted NLU.

Selecting Exit removes you from the centralized process and your provisional allotment is cancelled. For any suspected allotment error or redressal, contact the consortium at clatoffice@consortiumofnlus.ac.in immediately with your admit card and rank details.

This list ends the centralized phase. Monitor individual NLU websites closely from early June for spot vacancy notifications and application windows based on original CLAT All India Rank.
