Prepare the following before the refund portal goes live: Application Number, Password, registered mobile number, bank account holder name, account number, IFSC code and a copy of your bank passbook or a cancelled cheque plus valid ID proof. The online form will require uploading or entering these details to claim the refund.

    Re-NEET schedule and exam rules

The original NEET held on May 3, 2026 was cancelled amid paper-leak allegations, affecting over 22 lakh candidates. NTA scheduled the re-NEET for June 21, 2026 , from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm . The re-exam admit card was released on June 14, 2026 .

The exam will be in pen-and-paper mode. Scoring remains the same: +4 for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect or multiple-marked response. Candidates will get an extra 15 minutes for documentation and verification before the test.

Security, probe and preparations ahead of re-test

The Central Bureau of Investigation is probing the alleged leak. NTA's director general has denied any internal system leak. The Centre has asked social media platforms to remove misinformation and fake leak claims ahead of the re-exam.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said NEET is expected to move toward a computer-based test (CBT) format in coming years as part of reforms.

Students who want a refund should watch neet.nta.nic.in for the active refund link and complete the online form as instructed. The correction window for address and preferred exam city has been closed, so bank details and ID uploads via the refund form will be the primary channel for fee recovery.
