The Consortium of National Law Universities released the CLAT PG 2026 fifth merit list on May 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM . This is the final round of counselling for CLAT PG 2026 and includes remaining seat allotments across participating NLUs.

CLAT PG 2026 fifth merit list: How to check your allotment

Download the allotment PDF from consortiumofnlus.ac.in under Counselling > Allotment List. Log in with your CLAT 2026 credentials and search the PDF for your name and roll number to see the NLU and programme allotted.

If you receive an allotment, you must choose one of three post-allotment options: Freeze , Float , or Exit . Freeze confirms the seat and ends your participation in counselling. Float holds the seat while allowing upgrades to higher-preference NLUs. Exit withdraws you from counselling and triggers refund rules.

CLAT PG 2026 fifth merit list: Payment windows and deadlines

The confirmation fee payment window is open from May 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM and closes on May 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM . You must pay the confirmation fee within this window to retain the allotted seat.

If you choose to freeze the seat, pay the remaining university fee by May 30, 2026 by 5:00 PM . Keep your bank account and payment methods ready for online transactions to avoid missed deadlines.

    Refunds, deductions and student impact

Exiting counselling before May 8, 2026 entitles you to a full refund of the counselling registration fee. Exiting after May 8, 2026 leads to a deduction of INR 5,000 from the registration fee.

If you freeze a seat but later withdraw after May 30, 2026 , the consortium will deduct INR 5,000 and the confirmation fee will be forfeited. These rules apply across the final counselling round and affect fee refunds and reallocation of seats.

Around 24 National Law Universities participate in CLAT counselling, and the fifth merit list is the last opportunity to secure admission to these NLUs for the 2026–27 academic year. If you are allotted a seat, be ready with documents for verification and act within the specified windows to avoid penalties.

Check the official Consortium of National Law Universities website regularly for the allotment PDF and any updates. Make your post-allotment choice and complete payments before the deadlines to secure your admission.
