Freeze & Float after UCEED 2026 Seat Allotment: IIT Bombay Round II announced
IIT Bombay released the UCEED 2026 Round II seat allotment on May 19, 2026 and has emailed provisional allotment letters to selected candidates. Check your registered email and the official UCEED portal for the allotment status.
Selected candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee online by May 27, 2026, 6:00 PM to retain the allocated seat. The fee is ₹60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and ₹15,000 for SC/ST/PwD; non-payment by the deadline will lead to automatic cancellation.

If you accept an allotted seat, you can choose to 'Freeze' or 'Float' your choice. Freeze means you confirm the seat and will not be considered in subsequent rounds.
Float lets you accept the current seat while staying eligible for upward movement to a higher-preference institute in later rounds. If you choose Float, you do not need to pay the seat acceptance fee again in subsequent rounds.

A total of five allotment rounds will be held; Round III is scheduled for June 10, 2026 . Candidates who wish to withdraw from the allocation process must do so by June 9, 2026, 6:00 PM to claim a partial refund.
The seat acceptance fee paid now will be adjusted against the final institute fees at the time of joining. Failure to pay by May 27, 2026, 6:00 PM will result in automatic cancellation of the allocated seat.
